Learning in the real place
The BDSM training center LUX is the learning and further education location of Studio LUX. Here you don't learn in dry theory, but in a real, fully equipped place of professional BDSM practice, in the same rooms where work is also done.

For years, BDSM Studio LUX has been setting standards in the international studio scene. Our concept centers on free and independent work, the consistent implementation of rights, community support, and, last but not least, the destigmatization of sex work.

Unsere Workshops, Seminare und Events laden alle Interessierten in sagenumwobene Arbeitsräume. Statt Rotlicht, schummrige Räume und andere mediengefütterte Fantasiegebilde findet man hier helle, blitzsaubere und hochprofessionelle Arbeitsräume. Wir öffnen unsere Arbeitswelt für Außenstehende, nicht zum Begaffen, sondern um zu Lernen und um zu Erfahren.
Dabei stehen nach wie vor die Arbeitsrechte der Sexarbeitenden im Vordergrund. Unser Fachwissen ist wertvoll und die Belohnung ist fair. Unser Preissystem ist transparent, die Dozent*innen erhalten ein im Vergleich ausgezeichnetes Grundhonorar und profitieren von einem großzügigen Bonussystem.
Mitbestimmung und Mitgestaltung sind weitere zentrale Punkte. Das Kurszentrum ist Sexworker-geführt. Der Großteil der Lehrenden sind aktive Sexarbeitende. Zusätzlich ergänzen wir unser Team um einige spezifische Fachkräfte aus verwandten Bereichen.
We provide in-house training for sex workers in coaching, mentoring, and workshop facilitation. This includes skill sharing, one-on-one training, co-leading workshops, and individualized training steps in both theory and practice. Additionally, we support the sex work community with free sex worker-only workshops, free room rental, and our Scholarship-Program.

Our story

2015 - The beginning in the coach house
Founding of Studio LUX. Even before moving into our first studio premises, we were offering Domina courses. With our first location in the Remise on Ringbahnstraße, the courses became a permanent fixture, and the three rooms quickly became too small for the growing program.

2018 - The course center at Tempelhofer Damm
Expansion to include a second building: a historic corner building with a spacious classroom. The professional equipment enables practice-oriented teaching and learning for a comprehensive course program.

The BDSM studio LUX is spread across two buildings in Tempelhof, offering a total of eight different rooms. Both locations are also available for private rental; more information can be found on Private Rental.

The historic corner building with its spacious classroom and professional equipment is where our course program takes place. Most seminars, workshops, and events are held here.

What does fair pay mean?
Our instructors receive a base fee commensurate with the workshop's duration, which is already competitive compared to others in the industry. In addition, there is a further commission for each participant exceeding the minimum number of bookings. The majority of the revenue therefore goes to the lead instructor, while the share covering fixed costs and studio expenses remains fair and reasonable. We also compensate the seminar leaders for their marketing efforts.
Why is the sex worker community so important?
Sex workers are a highly and often multiply discriminated-against group. Our work is disregarded, we are pushed into a helpless victim role, or, when it suits them better, framed as unscrupulous opportunists.
In fact, you'll find diverse lifestyles among sex workers, with a wide range of backgrounds, visions, and perspectives. Our lived experience demonstrates expertise and knowledge, particularly in the areas of communication, intimacy, eroticism, and relationships.
This discrepancy needs to be addressed – as an established studio, we see ourselves as a privileged workplace that, due to restrictive legislation, is not available to all colleagues. It is only logical for us to advocate for the community and empower sex workers.
