SM 101: A Tempting Taste of Sadomasochism
You’ll discover where pain comes into play: what it feels like, what kinds of pain might be enjoyable, and how physical sensations and emotional experiences (like fear, vulnerability, or humiliation) can overlap. We’ll go step by step: learning how to communicate desires and limits, trying out what different implements feel like, and looking into taking care of both mind and body afterwards.
This workshop also includes a playful, hands-on segment called Bite-Sized Play which will offer you a chance to safely sample different sensations under close guidance. Try paddles, floggers, hot and cold sensation tools, pressure play, and so much more — all with consent, communication, and all at your own pace. No pressure to go far, just curiosity and fun.
What You Will Learn
- What does sadomasochism really mean — and why do so many people experience it as empowering, intimate, or deeply soothing
- The full spectrum of pain and what each sensation can evoke: stingy, thuddy, warm, cold, sharp, emotional, psychological
- Safe, beginner-friendly ways to explore impact, pressure, restraint, temperature play, and more
- How to talk about fears, excitement, limits, and desires in a way that strengthens trust and connection
- Emotional support tools that help you feel grounded, steady, and cared for throughout the experience
- Ways to recognise the sensations and emotional dynamics that spark pleasure, curiosity, catharsis — or a clear “not for me”
