What is it about?
This module will guide you through your first session. You will be supported in a safe, professional environment, from the initial enquiry to the preliminary discussion, the actual session and the follow-up. All under real studio conditions. Whether you still feel insecure or simply want experienced guidance: here you will be given the space to build up, consolidate and reflect on your session practice.
What you can expect
The module comprises four coordinated parts:
- 1 hour of theory
Reviewing the requests, introduction to the process, dynamics and understanding of roles in the accompanied session. Clarification of your questions, preparation for your style, setting and desired dynamic. - 1 hour on-site preparation and follow-up
We will accompany you in the room before the session to help you with the mental, technical and spatial preparation and follow-up - 1 hour of your own session
You create a complete, real session with a client of your choice¹ or an experienced practitioner². - 1 hour room hire
A high-quality equipped session room in Studio LUX is available for you to hold the session.
Important
¹ According to ProstSchG, you must submit a complete registration in order to be allowed to receive authentic clients. Clients will of course pay you for the session.
² Alternatively, we can provide an experienced practice sub. To do this, you place an “advert” to which the practice subs apply. The session takes place without financial compensation and is simulated under authentic conditions.
In both cases, you remain in charge – we accompany you discreetly in the background or actively and supportively on request.
What you take away
You will not experience your first session in a vacuum, but with support under professional studio conditions. You will receive immediate feedback, gain confidence in the process and develop a feel for timing, dynamics and communication in real situations. This experience will give you self-confidence and orientation for your future practice – professionally, authentically and confidently.
