Art & se*work are historically closely connected. In the tradition of the frivolous brothels of past centuries, we open our spaces to a synergy of art and culture. Studio LUX opens its doors again for another exhibition.

We are interested in the metaphorical significance of spaces, in the tension between the inner and the outer, the conscious and the unconscious. How can mental and physical states of mind be expressed symbolically? And how much of the invisible can the obvious point to. We invite artists of all media to engage with their personal interpretation of inner spaces. We are looking for the exhibition opening at Studio LUX on 20 August 2022:

  • Mixed Media Artists
  • Photographers
  • Illustrator & Painters
  • Image-Makers
  • Filmmakers (Short Films)
  • Performance Artists
  • Poets

Deadline is 12 June 2022 In the week following the deadline, we will process and select the entries.

Performance

The duration of each performance should be about 10-20 minutes. Please send us the following information about your work:

We have only rudimentary possibilities to play music and very simple stage lighting. From the applications received, 4-5 performances will be selected. There is a basic payment of €50.- With corresponding ticket sales, the payment increases proportionally.

Short Films /Video Installation

The duration of a film should not exceed 20 min. Please send us the file with the above information.

We show the films on a projector, the file format can be .wav and .mpeg.

Poetry

The length of the text should not exceed 10 minutes.

Books, brochures can be laid out.

Art Objects & Pictures

We hang using simple gallery rails, pictures must not exceed 3kg. Please send us the following information:

Art objects must be collected again after the vernissage. The pictures/photographs can remain hanging until the beginning of the next exhibition (2-3 months).
